Obituary of David Allen McClaskey

Sadly on August 12^th 2023 our beloved David Allen McClaskey I age 63, born in Philadelphia, PA. passed away suddenly at his home in Clewiston, FL. with his devoted wife Sharon of 44 years by his side.

            David resided in Florida with his loving family. He is survived by his wife Sharon Ann (nee McGraw)McClaskey, daughter Jeanette Elizabeth McClaskey, son David Allen McClaskey II and wife Alejandra Bernice McClaskey, grandchildren Anahi, David III, Michael, and Alexia. Parents James & Joan McClaskey, sister Deborah Palmer and husband Tim, brother James McClaskey and Tracey, brother in-law John McGraw & wife Lori McGraw, Sister in-law Debra Kane & husband Richie, nieces & nephews, and his “Peeps” Sadie, Rocky, & Sheba.

            David & Sharon’s life together was a true love story. They were best friends since the ages of 7 & 5 growing up on the same street one house apart. They married in 1979 in St. Joan of Arc church. David worked most of his life as a master electrician. He had an incredible gift for troubleshooting and machine repair. He was Mr. Fix-It. He was an inventor. He will be remembered for his enormous heart. He loved to tell stories, jokes, and was always singing a tune. He was a devoted husband, father, & grandfather who created nicknames for everyone. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and brother & sister in-law whom had recently moved to Florida, the place he loved most. Recently retired and always a farmer at heart he spent his days gardening, raising animals, restoring his 1967 Chevy pick-up truck. Most of all he relished spending time with his best friend, soul mate, love of his life Sharon. He was a true family man in every sense of the word. He always dreamed big and was never afraid to chase after what he wanted.

            David you have no idea how dearly you are missed. You are gone way to soon.  Our hearts are truly broken. You will forever live on in our hearts & memories. We love you. Always & Forever.

            Family & Friends are welcome to attend a “Celebration of Life” which will be held on Saturday, September 23^rd from 12-4pm at the Clubhouse at Atlantic National Golf Club, 6410 Lacuna Blvd., Lake Worth, FL.
