Obituary of Johnny Lee Bailum

Mr. Johnny Lee Bailum was born January 7, 1945 in Arcadia, Florida to Mr. Johnny and Elizabeth Bailum who preceded him in death. He attended Booker T. Washington School in Moore Haven, Florida. He served his country proudly in the United States Army from 1968 until 1983 then he returned to Moore Haven, Florida before residing in Clewiston until his death. On Friday, November, 4, 2011, at 3:15 P.M. Jesus Christ spoke to him that his time in this painful earthen vessel is over, come to me and rest in my presence forever with a glorified body. He leaves to mourn: Mrs. Bertha Mae Jackson devoted long time companion; one daughter: Mrs. Kathy Bailum Wilson of Georgia; one step-daughter: Shirley Ann Hayes (Kenneth) of Clewiston; three sisters: Gloria Bailum, Geraldine Bailum of Leesburg, Florida, Mrs. Linda Ann Robinson of Moore Haven, Florida; two brothers: George Bailum (Rose) of Bloomington, Indiana, Arthur Jenkins of Detroit, Michigan, two grandsons; Keithen Williams of Killeen, Texas and Jhamarian Turner of Clewiston, two granddaughters; Desire Kerr, and Khamari Turner of Clewiston; five great grandchildren; three aunts: Georgia Perry (Thomas) of Frostproof, Florida, Carolyn Rembert of Okeechobee, Florida, Barbara Goodlon of Bakersfield, California; two uncles: Ellis Wilson of Bakersfield, California and Willie Wilson of Bakersfield, California. Five nieces; Stephanie of Orlando, Asia Rinaldi (Mario) of Port St. Lucie; Carla Williams of Clewiston, Elizabeth Bailum, Jessica Bailum of Bloomington, Indiana. Two nephews; Leonardo Bailum (Sarah) of Palm Beach and Antonio Colon of Moore Haven. Two great nieces; Cherica Williams of Clewiston, Leondria Bailum of Palm Beach; four great nephews; Davonte Ragland, Kyree Marshall of Clewiston Leadre Bailum and Le'Adrian Bailum of Palm Beach. Sister-in-law; Irene Sampson of Clewiston; one brother-in-law; Lonnie Sampson of Moore Haven; three special friends; Harold Lee Reed, Ronnie Turner, M.C. Smith of Clewiston. A host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. We truly wish to name each and everyone of you, but time, will not permit. Do know we appreciate your love, time, prayers, and visits to our awesome beloved brother, father, husband, uncle, nephew and cousin Mr. Johnny Bailum, Jr. The funeral service will be held 1:30 pm on Saturday, November 12 at Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Clewiston, FL with Rev. Brown officiating. Interment will be Monday at South Florida National Cemetery . .
