Velma Jean Broach, age 82, of Clewiston, passed away October 24, 2012 in LaBelle, FL. She was born Apr. 24, 1930 in Phillipstown, IL, to the late Alfred and the late Elsie (Robb) Smith. Survivors include two daughters: Rena Blissett of Clewiston, FL, Barbara Cox Butler of Clewiston, step-daughter: Johnnie Luechers, two sisters Mary Jaques and Cecil Hock, two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 10:00 am at Akin-Davis Funeral Home, Clewiston with Rev. Samuel Thomas Ph.D. officiating. Interment was Saturday, October 27, 2012 in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clewiston. Visitation was held Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Akin-Davis Funeral Home, Clewiston, FL.
