Obituary of Mildred C Barrow

Mildred (Millie or Mimi) Clark Barrow, 89, of LaBelle, Florida passed away on October 11, 2015 in Lehigh Acres, Florida. Mimi was born in St Petersburg, Florida on July 21, 1926 to Samuel Charles Clark and Anna Carle McIver. She married Donald Simms Barrow on March 10, 1946, who preceded her in death in 2000. She went to high school at St Petersburg High School and graduated in 1943. She went on to earn an Associate of Arts degree from Miami/Dade Community College. She worked as wife, mother and homemaker for over 60 years. She enjoyed performing and dancing (mostly Tap dancing) since childhood, but she was well known for her sewing talents. She made dance costumes, cheerleader uniforms, majorette uniforms, wedding gowns, prom dresses, too many to count. She was very proud of the uniforms she made for Florida State majorettes in 1978. Mimi is survived by her children, Penny Noel of LaBelle, Clark Barrow of Ft Myers and Tammy Swann of Palmdale, her son-in-law, Douglas Swann of Palmdale, her grandchildren, Greg Swann and Savannah Swann both of LaBelle and her nieces and nephews, Sam Clark, Suzanne Fenner, Bill Scherer, Jackie McDonell, Rick Clark, Bob Clark, KC Clark all of the greater St Petersburg area, David Clark of the Atlanta area, Debbie Bledsoe of Jacksonville, Florida. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents Charles and Carle Clark, her brothers Charles Clark and Jack Clark and her sister Ruth Scherer. A celebration of life will be held November 7, 2015 in St Petersburg, Florida. The family wishes to extend an invitation to any and all who would like to attend.
