Obituary of Walter Rome Kaune

Obituary for: Walter Rome Kaune, III Sunday, August 5, 2012 Walter R. Kaune, 84, of Fort Myers, passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2012. He was born in Fort Myers FL on October 30, 1927. Walter graduated from Ft Myers High School in 1945. After serving in the Army he returned to Ft Myers and began his lifelong career as a masonry contractor, a trade he learned as a youth from his father. He was a lifelong member of the Seventh-day Adventist church serving 60 years as a deacon. For many years he enjoyed being a member of the Ft Myers Gun Club. Walter is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Melnot Kaune Jr, his brother Jack Kaune, his wife of 54 years Mary Kaune and his daughter Lucinda Morrison. He is survived by his sister Dorothy Bishop, his daughter Josephine Watkins (Samuel); grandchildren Dennis Haynes (Missy), Lorie Bryant (Andy) and Byron Haynes; great grandchildren Cody & Kelly Haynes and Nick, Natalie & Naomi Bryant and many nieces, nephews, cousins and step family members. Walter was a very loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed the outdoors along with visiting family and friends. He was often heard saying, "I have lived a wonderful life." A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
