Obituary of James Michael Owens

James Michael "Foots" Owens, age 57, of LaBelle, passed away August 27, 2016 in Fort Myers. He was born June 6, 1959 in Pineville, KY, to the late Vermont and the late Geraldine (Campbell) Owens. Foots graduated from LaBelle High School in 1977. He worked as a supervisor with Florida Grove Foggers. Survivors include his wife: Gladys Denise "Niese" (Caves) Owens, sons: Michael Tyler Owens, Kane Vermont Owens and Troy C. Terrell, daughters: Tiffany Faust, Chelsi Owens and Sara Cress, brother: Stacy Lane Owens, sister: Patrice "Paddee" (Henry) Heisler, grandchildren: Alexys Tyler Terrell, Ashton Laine Hanebrink, Brynna "Gracie" Stewart, Chloey Danielle Frazier, Keira Atalie Owens, Makenna Perrish Owens, nephew: Preston Heisler, nieces: Asha Heisler and Brogan Heisler and numerous family and friends. The family will be celebrating his life Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016 at Ortona Indian Mounds from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, food will be served. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations will be accepted.
