Obituary of Donna Faye Sands

Donna Faye Sands of Clewiston, Florida passed away November 8, 2014. Donna was born in South Bay, Florida to Aubrey Otis and Mallie Fay (Byrd) Walker on July 16, 1937. She grew up in South Bay and Belle Glade and later finished High School in Macon, Georgia. Upon returning to Belle Glade, she married Richard Sands on June 26, 1959 in the very house she was born in. She is survived by her husband of 55 years; Richard, daughter; Julie Collins and husband David, grandchildren; Laruen McGinnis and husband Mike of Fort Myers, Florida, Daniel of West Palm Beach, Florida and brother; Roger Walker of Clewiston, Florida. She is preceded in death by a daughter; Janet Ruth Sands, and granddaughter; Sarah Marie Collins; parents; Aubrey and Mallie Fay Walker, brother; A.O. Walker, Jr, sisters; Louis Ferguson, Quinon Shiver and Dorothy Warren. A memorial service was held November 11, 2014 at 10 a.m. in Ridgelawn Cemetery with Pastor Gary Folds officiating. Cremation arrangements were handled by Akin-Davis Funeral Home - Clewiston.
