Obituary of Theresa M Stanton Barton

Theresa M Stanton Barton, age 90, of Clewiston, passed away March 26, 2016 in Clewiston. She was born on September 2, 1925 in Westboro, Mass. She was raised Catholic. She married Matt Stanton, Sr; he preceded her in death on March 31, 1967. She then married Loyas Barton; he preceded her in death on July 30, 2012. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great – great grandmother and Nanny to many people who were not related to her. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Theresa leaves behind her son; Matt Stanton and his wife Amy of Clewiston, two stepsons; Rudy Barton and his wife Rhonda of Portland, Oregon and Phillip Barton and his wife Mary Faith of Clewiston. Grandsons; Matt, Chris and Mark Stanton, step grandchildren; Gregory, Jillian, and Colin Barton, several great-great grandchildren and many other close friends and family members. Celebration of Life visitation will be held 6-8 Thursday, March 31, 2016 in Akin-Davis Funeral Home. Cremation arrangements are being handled by Akin-Davis Funeral Home – Clewiston.
