Obituary of Shirley R. Fielder

Shirley R. Fielder, age 81, of Clewiston, passed away March 23, 2017 in Fort Myers. She was born Jan. 6, 1936 in Grady County, GA, to the late Daniel Stevens and the late Bernice Lee (Gainous) Royals. Shirley worked as Assistant Librarian at the Harry T. Vaughn Clewiston Public Library and was a member of First Baptist Church of Clewiston and Clewiston Garden Club. She was an avid reader & loved gardening. Survivors include her son: Hinnard Raymond (Ray) Williams, Jr., (Marty), Pt. St. Lucie, daughters: Sherri Lynn Williams Green (Edward), Pelham, GA and Sandra Lee Williams Montgomery (Jim), Apopka, sister: Mary R. Culbreth (Tank), Pelham, GA, step children: Terrel (Anna) Fielder, Moore Haven, Lizann (Donnie) Shaw, Clewiston and Lynn (Sam) Briefman, Clewiston, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, aunts: Lillian Ferrell and Edna Barbee, both of Cairo, GA and nephew: John Neil Williams, Ellabell, GA. She was also preceded in death by her husband: James A. Fielder, Jr., stepson: Robert Fielder and niece: Lisa Fender. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 30, 2017, 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Clewiston with Pastor Mike Brennan and Rev. Edward Green officiating. Interment will follow at Ortona Cemetery, Moore Haven. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 29 from 6-8 p.m. at Akin-Davis Funeral Home in Clewiston.
