Obituary of William Ray Johnson

Obituary for: William Ray Johnson, Sr. William Ray Johnson, Sr., age 77, of Sebring, passed away November 25, 2010 in Sebring, FL. He was born Mar. 13, 1933 in Miami, the son of the late Ernest Lee and the late Madeline Ruth (Woessner) Johnson. He married Betty Jo Starling; she preceded him in death on May 5, 2010. He was a farmer for many years. He proudly served his country in the United States Army as a member of the paratroopers special unit during the Korean War. He retired when he turned 70 years old. Survivors include two sons: James M. Long, Jr, William Ray Johnson, Jr and three daughters: Carrie DesRosiers of Sebring, FL, Nina Keener and Mary Brown; one brother: Richard Johnson; one sister: Madeline Gallops, eleven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sat. December 4, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. in Iglesia Bautista Nuevo Testamento with Rev. James Wryals officiating. Interment will be in Caloosa Crematory, LaBelle. .
