Obituary of Aletta J. Steverson

Aletta J. Steverson, age 80, of LaBelle, passed away March 9, 2017 in Jesup, Georgia. Aletta was born June 8, 1936 in Fort Denaud, FL, to the late Reubin and the late Irene (Ballard) Deese. She graduated from LaBelle High School in 1954. She graduated from Jones Business College. She attended LaBelle Church of God Worship and Praise Center. Survivors include her children; Glenda A. Brooker, Carmelita Himes and her husband Park, Earl David Hicks and wife Karen all of Jesup, Georgia and Charles E. Hicks, Jr and his wife Vicki of Tuscon, Arizona, grandchildren; Tanyisha Hadlock, Kevin Hadlock, Amber Thompson, Courtney Thompson, Heather Thompson, five great grandchildren; one sister; Ruby Herrero of LaBelle. Aletta was preceded in death by her parents; Reubin and Irene Deese, husband; William Steverson. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 17, 2017 at 10:30 am at Akin-Davis Funeral Home, LaBelle with Pastor Clifford Gobble officiating. Interment will be in Fort Denaud Cemetery, LaBelle.
