What a beautiful memorial for such a wonderful person. Aunt Mary was always a ray of sunshine to us Tennessee girls. She was so much fun and we looked forward to her visits. Even though we can't see our cousins as often as we would like, please know that we think of you often. Our mothers were the best. We will see them again one day. For now, we can just make them proud by being the best parents we can be. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I grew up knowing the McDaniel family from childhood, as Ira and Bonnie Mason (my sister) were close friends.
Mary and Bob were wonderful people as is all of their family. Bob would always come up give you a big hug and say something like (you're as pretty as that new heffer we got out in the pasture) that's not exactly how he would put it if you knew Bob, but he had alot of pretty daughter in laws and granddaughters, so you took it as a great compliment. Mary would hug and say (Hey honey how are you and all of the family).
She and Bonnie would go on shopping sprees. Wigs, shoes, clothes, home furnishings etc. If they had something they liked and it came in 15 different colors, they would at least buy 14 out of the 15. I remember Mary loved her coffee, 4 packs of sugar and at least 3 creamers. Her home on the ranch was absolutely beautiful. The the one thing that I always got a kick out of was that Bob was able to hang his hog head just outside of her kitchen. Mary was a beautiful woman on the inside and out, with a loving heart to match.
We have shared my happy memories with the family, at their homes, the camphouse and the lake. One of our greatest treasures was making Jeff part of our family, as Vonnie is my niece.
Mary's last conversation with me was to share how proud she was of her family and her greatest desire was to see everyone get along and continue to have good times together.
Our mother always said "If you choose your friends wisely, they will become as family, and sometimes you may even like them better. But you always love your family."
Our love and prayers go out to the family, and we will be glad to help in anyway that we can.
Mary and Bob will alwys be loved.
Sincerely,
Brenda, Billy Richards
Crystal, Adrian Bass and sons
