Obituary of Wilda Davidson Lowe

Penny Lowe was born on October 31st, 1923 in Laurel, Mississippi. She graduated from High School and also studied business at Jones County Junior College in Ellisville, Mississippi. Penny eventually married Hager Lowe and made her home in Clewiston. She was employed by the United States Sugar Corporation as an Accounts payable supervisor and was a member of the Evangel Assembly of God Church. Penny love spending time with the group of ladies that were all retired from U.S. Sugar: having lunch and just the social time and conversations they would have. Penny also loved working in her garden and had a passion for flowers, and over time she became quite accomplished painter and artist, but more than those things, Penny will always be remembered as a great friend, a loving wife, a wonderful mother, and a caring grandmother. Penny Lowe went home to be with Jesus on Monday, March 14, 2011. She was 87 years old. She is survived by her loving husband, Hager Lowe, one son; Martin Lowe and his wife Deborah of Royal Palm, one daughter; Kay Dennis and her husband E.J. of Ellisville, MS. Penny was also blessed with six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Celebration of Penny's life was Friday, March 18, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in Assembly of God Church in Clewiston. Visitation was held Thursday, March 17, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. in Akin-Davis Funeral Home- Clewiston. Interment was in Ridgelawn Cemetery - Clewiston. Arrangements were handled by the Akin-Davis Funeral Home - Clewiston.
