Obituary of Bentley Carson Killmon

Bentley Carson Killmon, age 82, born on July 7, 1932 to Blanche and William Carson Killmon, passed away January 8, 2015 in LaBelle, FL Two brothers, Jackson and Emerson preceded Ben in death. Ben was married to Bea Killmon of Clewiston and they lived in LaBelle. Bentley had three children: Ural Carson Killmon of North Carolina, Brittany Nieves of Clewiston, Jennifer Killmon Hudson (deceased), four step children: Kim Daugherty of Deleware, Sean Scheffler of Clewiston, Mary L. Redish of Georgia and J. Scott Scheffler. Ben grew up in Norfolk, VA and entered the Navy at a young age. After serving in the Navy during the Korean War he enrolled in Piedmont Flight School in Norfolk, VA. From there he went to serve as a pilot and navigator for Pan American Airlines for twenty-five years. He retired from United Airlines in 2000 making a total of thirty-four years flying. He flew all over Latin America A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 17, 2015, 2:00 pm at Akin-Davis Funeral Home, LaBelle with Butch Wilson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Caloosa Humane Society in LaBelle Cremation Arrangements by Akin-Davis Funeral Home - LaBelle.
