Obituary of Beverly J. Ridgdill
Beverly Jo Ridgdill, a lifelong resident of LaBelle, passed away on September 19, 2013 at a hospital in Perry, Florida, where she was receiving treatment for complications resulting from cancer. Beverly was 68 years of age.
Affectionately nicknamed "B Jo" during her youth, the name stuck with her during her lifelong residency in LaBelle by those who knew her. Both of her parents being natives of Felda and LaBelle, her mother was the late Della Townsend Ridgdill and her father was the late S.J. "Brown Tiger" Ridgdill. Beverly graduated from LaBelle High School in 1963 and firstly married James Povia Jr. of Fort Myers, and secondly to Charles Lassett of Mississippi. Beverly spent many years running the family construction and land development company based in LaBelle.
Beverly is survived by her younger brother Donald Ridgdill of LaBelle, her son Dr. Michael Ridgdill of Palm Beach, Florida, her daughter Shellie Reinbott of Live Oak, Florida, and her grandchildren Courtney Reinbott, Dustin Reinbott, and Grayson Reinbott of Live Oak, Florida.
Graveside services were held Monday, September 23, 2013 at 1:00 pm at the Fort Denaud Cemetery.
