Obituary of Irena M. Daniels

Irena Mae Daniels passed away January 13, 2018 in LaBelle, Florida. She was born October 4, 1931 in Nokomis, Florida to the late Irena and Charles Gomez, an old Florida family. Survivors are her husband of 70 years, James Hampton Daniels, daughters Betty Sue Moreno (Pete), Kathy Gail Daniels and daughter-in-law Linda Daniels, ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren Irena is best remembered as a devoted wife and grandmother. She was an equal partner in her husband's ministry for the Church of God. Together they served the Lord to bring comfort and support to their parishioners. She was the church musician, playing both the piano and organ. In addition, she taught Bible study classes and performed many other duties. Her family remembers her as a selfless mother and wife who loved and cared for them. She is preceded in death by sons: Don Alan and Rex Earl Daniels, also sisters: Gwen Lippincott and Aliene Benson, brothers: Charles, Frank, TW; and TM Gomez. Visitation is 10:00 AM to 11:00 at the Alva Church of God, Wednesday, January 17, 2018. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM with Reverend Dennis Edgar officiating.
