Obituary of Etta Mae Holbrook

Etta Mae (Neal) Holbrook passed peacefully in her sleep to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 5, 2022. Etta and John Holbrook raised their family in Moore Haven, Florida. She worked as a classroom aide at the elementary school and a library aide at the junior high and high school. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Moore Haven, where she sang as part of a trio. Her greatest love was her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; and her brothers, Oscar and Roy Neal. Etta is survived by her sister, Darlene Coleman; sons, Roger (Ann), Rodney (Denise), and Randal (Kim) Holbrook; grandchildren, Heather (Derek) Trenholm, Angela Bartholomew, and Tiffanny Holbrook; greatgrandchildren, Mason Kennington, Landon, Amy, Trey and Coen Dupont, Devin and Nicholas Holbrook, and Ava Bartholomew; as well as many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Wednesday evening, November 16, 2022, from 5-7 p.m. at Akin-Davis Funeral Home, 560 E. Hickpochee Ave., LaBelle, FL 33935. A celebration of her life will be held at Ortona Cemetery in Glades County at 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 17, 2022, followed by a memorial service at First Christian Church in Fort Myers, 2061 McGregor Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33901 at 2 p.m. Flowers may be sent to Akin Davis Funeral Home.
