Charles Wayne Powell age 83, died on October 12, 2022, in Clewiston, Florida. Charles was born on February 23, 1939, in Carrier Mills, Illinois. He proudly served his Country in the United States Navy from March 1956 to March 1962, while serving he was an undefeated Championship Boxer. Charles leaves behind his loving wife; Laura Powell of Matlacha, Florida, his children; David Powell and his wife Tina Cassidy, James Powell, Kelly Demoe, Tracy Demoe, Victoria Wilsford, Brian Back and his wife Cathy, daughter-in-law; Tonya Powell, brother-in-law; Roger Tauriainen, grandchildren; Eric Powell, Scott Powell and his wife Leigh, Jason Sawyer, Jamie Lynn Priest, Cody Kincade, John Wilsford, Mark Ryan, Elizabeth Bondic, Faith Anderson, Karissa Demoe, and Kristalyn Demoe, great grandchildren; Derrek Powell, Katie Powell, Kayla Powell, Lee Powell, Elias Bird, Ryker Middelton, Vander Shana Fuddin, Elayna Anderson and Nicholas Anderson, along with cousins; Kelly Tauriainen, Dick Craig, Judy Craig, Kathie Powell, Tom Craig, and Dewayne Kennedy. Charles was preceded in death by his two sons; Ian and Jimmy Powell along with his sister; Judy Tauriainen. Charles will be laid to rest in Key West alongside his two sons: Ian and Jimmy Cremation arrangements are by Akin-Davis Funeral Home - Clewiston.
