Obituary of Walter Claude Parker, Jr.

Walter Claude Parker, Jr., age 76, of Clewiston, passed away October 2, 2022 in Clewiston.

Walter was born on July 21, 1946 in Avon Park, Florida to the late Walter Claude and Syble Carver Parker. He was married to Linda Huggins. He worked as the Vice President of Agriculture Department at U.S. Sugar Corporation for over 40 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Clewiston for many years. He enjoyed hunting for Deer, spending time with family and friends. He was a loving, caring and thoughtful man who never knew a stranger. He will be dearly missed by his entire family and all of his friends.

Walter leaves fond memories with his loving wife; Linda Parker of Clewiston, daughter; Diana Stowe and her husband Sean of Clewiston, son; John “Johnny” Walter Parker and his wife Angie of Palm Beach Gardens, grandchildren; Hannah, Phoebe and Jack Parent, brother; Michael Parker and his wife Janice of San Angelo, Texas, sisters; Patricia Huggins and her husband Spooner of Pahokee, Florida, JoAnn Larisey of Canal Point, Florida along with many extended family members and family friends.

Celebration of Walter’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 10, 2022 at First Baptist Church in Clewiston where visitation will be one hour before the celebration. Burial will take place in Ridgelawn Cemetery.

Celebration arrangements are being handled by Akin-Davis Funeral Home – Clewiston.
