Cheryle Marcella Mersy 57, died Tuesday, April 12 th , 2022, peacefully in her sleep at her home
in Clewiston, FL. Born Cheryle Marcella Pung on November 30, 1964 in El Paso, Texas. Cheryle
was a part of a military family and traveled the world with them as a child, before moving to
Melrose, MN in 1972. She was a majorette and graduated from Melrose Sr High in 1982 and
attended St. Cloud State University. She moved to Miami, FL in 1991. Cheryle became a mother
to her only child, Matthew Christopher Bonner, on November 1 st , 1995. She was a devoted and
loving mother. She moved from Hollywood, FL to Clewiston, FL with her family in 2016. She is
preceded in death by her Father, Frank Pung Jr. She is survived by her Mother, Ida Pung; her
brother and three sisters, Beverly Gerard, Gary Pung, Mary Jane McKendry and Janine Pung;
her significant other and the father of her son, Stan Bonner; and her favorite son, Matthew. Her
remains will be scattered in the ocean according to her and her family’s wishes.
