Marsha was the popular girl who wasn't a snob. We shared the same desk in different study halls and hid notes in the desk. Her notes were funny and honest. I showed up at her house to go swimming in the quarry. I was wearing yellow capris and a matching jacket. She joked about taking off my "gear". When we had dinner, she ate dessert first and put the soup bowl on the floor for the dog. She made me laugh. She played on the basketball team. So coordinated! She showed me how to dance the "Mashed Potatoes". Her favorite poet was Robert Frost. "So dawn goes down to day. Nothing gold can stay."
