Obituary of Lucille G Adams

Lucille (Bobbie) Clevenger Adams passed away peacefully of natural causes at the Hope Hospice House. Bobbie passed away Thursday, December 23, 2021.

Lucille was affectionately known as Bobbie throughout her life and seldom answered to Lucille when called Lucille. Bobbie was born in Matewan, West Virginia on April 30, 1929 and born into the infamous West Virginia Hatfield family.

Bobbie and her husband Charles moved their family to Lake Harbor, Florida and soon to Clewiston, Florida in 1958. Bobbie was known throughout Clewiston when she worked and eventually retired from the Clewiston U-Save store. Bobbie loved working with the public and felt grateful to have the privilege of helping every customer. She was a blessing to everyone who met her.

Bobbie was of deep Baptist Faith and was a devout Christian. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Clewiston.

Bobbie was an amazing baker and cook, always sharing hundreds of trays of cookies and cakes to her countless friends. She was an avid reader, reading until her very last days of life.

Most of all, Bobbie loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was always loving and caring to all.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Clevenger and Willie Adams, and her son Timmy (Tim) Clevenger. She is survived by her daughters, Carol Clevenger Giddens of Clewiston and Martha Clevenger Taylor (Jay) of Fort Pierce. She is survived by her step-children, Angie Adams Hayes (Edward) of Frostproof, Florida and Steven Adams of Clewiston. She is also survived by her sister, Juanita Browning of Clewiston as well as her grandchildren, Jon Taylor, Jennifer Waldron, Jessica Palmer, Justine Theisen, Angela Hayes and Cindy Hayes Rhoden as well as 3 great grandchildren.
