Obituary of Maria Gomez

Maria Gomez, age 79 of LaBelle, passed away on July 7, 2021 in Fort Myers, Florida. 

Maria was born on July 1, 1942 in Mexico to the late Eduardo and Jovita Alaniz Gomez. She worked as a farm worker for many years before retiring. She was of the Catholic Faith.

Maria was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.

Maria leaves behind her children: Lidia Aguilar Rodriguez (Miguel Rodriguez), Antonio Aguilar, Socorro Balderas (Ruben Balderas), Graciela Urias (Jaime Urias), Maribell Ramos (Juan Angel Ramos), Jose Angel Aguilar, Jennifer Rodriguez (Guillermo Esquivel).

Grand children:  Eddie Lopez (Chelo Lopez), Ana Maria Paz (Cecilio Paz), Lucy Flournah (Todd Flournah), Antonio Iram Aguilar, Alan Aguilar, Eden Aguilar, Jasmine Aguilar, Letty Balderas, Manuel Inez Balderas, Emanuel Urias, Cristian Urias, John Ramos, Miguel Ramos, Navidad Garcia and she had two grandchildren predecease, Jose Aguilar, Jr., and Nicholas Aguilar, and twenty-five great grand children.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on July 15, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in LaBelle, with Father Jiobani Batista presiding. Burial will take place in Fort Denaud Cemetery in LaBelle.
