Obituary of Marlon Dwight Ergle

Marlon Dwight Ergle, age 77, of LaBelle went to be with the Lord on January 12, 2021 in Lehigh Acres, FL where he was happily reunited with his wife Margie. He was born on May 29, 1943 in Phil Campbell, AL, to the late James Owen Ergle and the late Zada (Wilson) Ergle. He was a member of Christ Central Church in LaBelle.

Survivors include his children: Sherri (Gary) Walker and Tony (Diane) Ergle of LaBelle, brothers Willie Ergle of Phil Campbell, AL and Robert Ergle of Jasper, AL, sisters: Helen (Jim) Garner of Rogersville, AL and Peggy Liles of East Orwell, OH, grandchildren Anthony and Brittany Ergle, Kaleb and Kelsi Rosbough, Cal Walker, great-grandaughter Remington Grace Ergle, and many nieces, nephews, family members and friends who he loved dearly, his dog Frisky and cat Tippy. He lived in LaBelle for almost 60 years where he and his wife chose to raise their family.

He was preceded in death by his wife Rebecca Margie Ergle, parents: James and Zada Ergle, brothers: Ted and Cleston Ergle, sister Evelyn Ergle and grandson Brady Walker.

He will be remembered for his deep love for the Lord, family and friends, his outstanding work ethic, fishing and gardening. He was generous to everyone he met and never met a stranger. He will be remembered for sharing his vegetables from his garden with all his family and everyone in his neighborhood. His wish was that all his family & friends would come to know Jesus as he did.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hope Hospice, Relay for Life LaBelle or Christ Central Church in LaBelle- Building fund.

A memorial service will be Saturday, May 22, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at Christ Central, 813 E Hickpochee Ave, LaBelle, with Pastor Mitchell Wills officiating.
