He was born Feb. 19, 1935 in Leslie, WV, son of the late Lester Walter Bond and the late Elva Gladys (Hizer) Bond. He retired as a manager from General Motors. He loved gardening. Survivors include his step children; Steve Hayes and wife Ladawn of Clewiston, Stan Hayes and wife Laura of Loxahatchee, Donna Moore and husband Frank of Clewiston and Deborah Witt and husband John of Clewiston, grandchildren; Steven and wife Gabby, Kelli, Alise, Chelsa, Corie, Miranda,Travis, Davis, Hannah, Ramsey, Haylee and Macy, great grandchildren; Victoria and Liliana, brother: Gene Bond (Laura) of Pembroke Pines, sister: Julia A. Clark (John) of Moore Haven. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Hayes Bond and previous wife, Connie Bond, son: Timothy Lee Bond and daughter: Kathy Bond.
