She was born Oct. 2, 1916 in Williston, daughter of the late Evander B. Bethea and the late Iris (Stevens) Bethea. Survivors include her children: JoAnn Peeples, John Peeples and Gerald Ezel, brother: Robert Bethea, sister: Willa Mae "Snook" Kelsoe, grandchildren, Linda Peeples Martin, Kimmy Griffen and Joe Henry Peeples IV, great-grandchildren, Jenna Stephens, Haley Stephens, Brody Griffen, Hank Peeples, Justin Peeples and Taylor Martin and other grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Henry Peeples Jr., son: Joe Henry Peeples III and grandson, Justin Peeples. Funeral services will be held Sat. January 9, 2010, 11:00 am at the Ortona Cemetery Pavilion in Ortona with Rev. Earl Cline officiating. Interment will follow in Ortona Cemetery.
