Obituary of Elbert Alexander Thigpen

Obituary for: Elbert Alexander "Bill" Thigpen, Jr. Elbert Alexander "Bill" Thigpen, Jr., age 86, of Ortona, passed away June 15, 2010 in LaBelle. He was born Dec. 23, 1923 in Arcadia, FL, to the late Elbert A. Thigpen Sr. and the late Lena Eubanks. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Nada Naomi Thigpen, his siblings, Clint Thigpen, Mary Crawford, Inez Couch, Kate Pedigo and Marie Whidden, two sons, Gregory Thigpen (Tina) of Ortona, Grant Thigpen (Susan) of Naples, daughter, Genia Sue Ferreira of San Jose, CA, eight grandchildren, Tammy Tiansay (Eric), Jeremy Thigpen, Brent Thigpen (Chelsey), Michael Worley, Bradley Worley, Stephen Thigpen, Heath Ferreira, Alexis Ferreira and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Ollie Mae Lane and brother, Earl "Top" Thigpen. There will be visitation on Friday evening, June 18th from 6-8 p.m. at Akin-Davis Funeral Home in LaBelle. Funeral services will be held Sat. June 19, 2010, 10:00 am at International Christian Fellowship in LaBelle with Pastor Sammy Co officiating. Interment will follow at Ortona Cemetery in Ortona.
