Obituary of Willis Moore

Obituary for: Willis Moore Willis "Pete" Moore, a longtime resident of Clewiston and former resident of Pahokee, died Monday at Hendry Regional Medical Center. He died at 87 years of age. He was a World War II veteran and served as a Petty Officer First Class in the U.S. Navy. During his residency in Pahokee he ran for and won the seat of City Commissioner in 2000. He was also an experienced professional fishing guide for 20 years. He was the owner and operator of his own produce brokerage company, Pete Moore Sales. He is survived by his wife, Mary Alice Moore, his four sons, Rodney Moore, Kevin Moore, Vernon Sullivan, and Johnny Dutton and his four daughters Christy Degenhart, Patsy Davis, Debra Mullis, and Janice Busbee. The body will be cremated. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2:00pm at First Christian Church in Clewiston. Arrangements by Akin-Davis Funeral Home - Clewiston.
