Obituary for: Marvin Williams Marvin Williams, age 68, of LaBelle, passed away September 19, 2010 in LaBelle. He was born Oct. 10, 1941 in Cincinnati, OH. the son of the late Benjamin and the late Margarit (Owens) Williams. He served in the United States Marine Corps for over 20 years and retired with rank of Gunnery Sergeant. He served in the Vietnam War and received the Good Conduct Medal W/4*,Combat Action Ribbon, Presidential Unit Citation, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal W/3*, Vietnam Campaign Medal W/60 Devices, Vietnam Cross Of Gallantry W/ Palm & Frame and Marine Corps Expeditionary Medal. Survivors include: Olga Joy Williams and step son: Ceion Williams, both of LaBelle, father: Benjamin Williams Sr. of Cincinnati, OH, brothers: Benjamin Williams Jr. and Vernon Williams of Cincinnati, OH and Alexander (Sharon) Williams of IN and sisters: Irene McCoy and Margaret McKinney, both of Cincinnati, OH Funeral services will be held Thu. September 30, 2010 at 11:00 am at Akin-Davis Funeral Home, 438 E. Sugarland Hwy., Clewiston with Rev. Kenneth C. Holley officiating. Interment will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clewiston where Military Honors will be conducted by the United States Marine Corps. Visitation was held Wednesday from 5 pm to 8:30 p.m. at the Akin-Davis Funeral Home in LaBelle. Arrangements by Akin-Davis Funeral Home - LaBelle.
