He was born Apr. 7, 1922 in Sharpsville, PA, son of the late George and the late Mary (Tillian) Szugye. George was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in WWII. He lived in LaBelle for the past 19 years and was a former resident of Girard, OH and Fort Lauderdale, FL. George was a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in LaBelle. Survivors include his wife of 64 years: Elizabeth(Toth) Szugye, LaBelle, sons: George D. Szugye, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Dennis J. Szugye, Panama City, FL, Adrian J. Szugye, Deerfield Beach, FL, Ernest Szugye and wife Laura, Morriston, FL, daughters: Suzanne Lopez and husband Juan, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Kathleen Szugye, Marianna, FL and grandchildren, Adrian J. Szugye Jr., Cassandra Lopez, Tiffany Lopez. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Mary and Vera and brother: Louis. Funeral services will be held Fri. November 13, 2009, 10:00 am at Our Lady Queen Of Heaven Catholic Church, 355 Bridge Street, LaBelle with Father Chester Domaszewicz officiating. Interment will follow in Ortona Cemetery, Moore Haven.
