Obituary of Armande M. DeVarney

Obituary for: Armande M DeVarney Armande M DeVarney, age 88, of LaBelle, passed away February 4, 2011 in Fort Myers, FL. She was born Nov. 2, 1922 in Canada the daughter of the late Emile & Beatrice (Malo) Benoit. She was employed at the Foster-Grant Company in Leominster for 20 plus years. She was a long time member and very active in the American Legion # 130 and VFW #10100 in LaBelle. Survivors include two sons: Arthur DeVarney of Leominster, MA, Roland DeVarney of Orlando, FL, siblings: Henry Benoit, Alfred Benoit, Jerry Benoit, Loretta Bevans, Raymonde Sheldon, and Hortense Girouard, Germaine Wilson; Five Grandchildren, Michael DeVarney, Laurie DeVarney Fulton, Dawn Spangenberg, Erin DeVarney, Sarah Ball, six great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She is predeceased by her late husband Arthur DeVarney Sr. in 1988 and her long-time companion, Olin Harless in 2008 and four brothers, Ivan, John, Roger and Gaston "Pete" Benoit. Visitation was held Mon. February 7, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. in Akin-Davis Funeral Home, 560 E. Hickpochee Ave., LaBelle. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, February 12, 2011 in Saint Cecilia Catholic Church in Leominster, MA Interment will be in Saint Cecilia Cemetery, Leominster, MA Arrangements by Akin-Davis Funeral Home - LaBelle.
