He was born Aug. 8, 1926 in Felda, the son of the late Emory Stancil Taylor and the late Elsie (Sumner) Taylor. He served in the Army of Occupation of Japan after World War II. Survivors include his wife: Jackie (Osteen) Taylor, sons: Randy Taylor of Sun City Center and Larry (Jean) Taylor of Plant City, daughters: Kathie (Jeff) Fleming of Felda and Becky Polk of Plant City, brothers: Ralph Taylor of Felda and Norman Taylor of Centerville, TN, his grandsons: Logan and Jason and his granddaughter: Amy. Funeral services will be held Sat. January 16, 2010, 12:00 pm in Mount Zion Primitive Baptist Church, Church Road, Felda with elder Marvin Wingate and elder Hollis Albritton Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Felda Cemetery, Felda Florida Visitation will be Saturday 1 hour prior to services in Mount Zion Primitive Baptist Church at Felda.
