She was born August 6, 1930 in Buffalo, NY to Wortley B. Paul and Ivy (Nicol) Paul. Janet was a resident of LaBelle for the past 22 years and was a former resident of Horseheads, NY. She was employed for thirty years as a teacher with Horseheads Central School. Janet was a member of Carlson Memorial United Methodist Church, WMU, Alpha Delta Kappa, Moose Lodge and the American Legion. She loved writing poetry and working on getting her writings published. Survivors include her sister: Barbara Selby and her husband Richard of Wilmington, DE and their sons, Christopher and Timothy Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 12, 2009, 11:00 a.m. at Carlson Memorial United Methodist Church, LaBelle with Rev. John Bennett officiating. A viewing will take place one hour before the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your favorite charity.
